Other Genera Orchids...
These Orchids just don't quite fit in any of the previous groups but are just as interesting and easy to grow. There are a few new intergeneric crosses and some varieties that may not be as well known but we like to grow ourselves. Some of the plants in this section are very limited in quantity so try and order early. |

Gramm. scriptum "citrinum" Mericlone. Huge and handsome plants grow large and produce multiple sprays of many yellow chartruese flowers. When in bloom these are very spectacular. This is the one everybody goes to when blooming in the nursery. Very easy to grow and bloom, they grow to become fantastic specimen plants in any collection. Dial Snowflake x B. nodosa Very easy to grow cattleya type plant with clusters of sweet scented white flowers with yellow centers blooming on long sprays. Cymbidium Golden Elf 'Sundust' HCC/AOS Mericlone. Very fragrant yellow flowers that bloom on sprays. This is an easy-blooming and vigorous growing Cymbidium that is warm tolerant and compact in size. Large & full foliage. Variegated Vanilla planifolia Yes, Vanilla is an orchid. It is native to Central & South America and is grown in all parts of the tropical world. It needs support to grow since it is has a vine-like habit. The flowers are a green color and somewhat resemble a cattleya flower. Once pollinated, the seed pod becomes the "Vanilla bean" It is a very easy orchid to grow and does best in strong filtered light.
