Ti Leaf Foliage & Leis

Green and Red Ti Leaves Whether you're a Florist, Lei Maker, Hula Dancer, or just getting ready for your next luau, we've got standard green & red (Lilinoe) Ti leaves for you!

All leaves are cut fresh and washed on the same day they are shipped.

Please note: To ensure availability please order at least one week before the next shipping day (Monday & Tuesday). This is important since if you order at the beginning of the week, your order can't be cut and shipped until the following Monday or Tuesday. The more notice, the better.
Remember ti leaves can be kept for a couple weeks in the ice box or just clip the tip of the stems and put them in water to keep them fresh. If they are being used for weaving or lei's you can freeze them until you need them and they will thaw and be nice and pliable.

Please be advised that due to USDA regulations, we cannot ship plants and foliage in the same box. Therefore, if your order consists of both plants AND cut Ti leaves, they will be packed and shipped separately. Your total combined shipping cost is automatically determined by our shopping cart software & is the sum of the fee for plants and the fee for leaves. Learn more about shipping.

Medium size Ti leaves average 25" in length +/- 2 or 3 inches

Large size Ti leaves average 34" in length +/- 2 or 3 inches

Red (Lilinoe) Ti leaves average 16 to 20 inches +/- Ti leaves vary in size a lot. Whether you order medium or large we will always cut the largest available in both categories. Do you live on Maui & want to pick them up in person? Give us a call for local prices and availability and we will can have them cut and ready when you arrive.

Ti Leaf Leis...
The Ti plant was sacred to the Hawai'ian people, and very versatile - roof thatch, food wrap, sandals, raincapes and toys were some of the ancient uses. Ti is still used medicinally to reduce headache, fever, inflammation and infection.Haku (Head) Lei & a Touch of Fragrance Ti Leaf Lei Ti was a symbol of power ("mana") and high rank; only chiefs and priest could wear leaves around their necks. Others planted it near their homes and wore Ti leaves around the waist, wrist or ankles for spiritual protection. Now, we can all enjoy wearing ti leaf leis.

Ti leaves are now used to honor Special Occasions, Blessing and Healing ceremonies. Ti leaf leis are given to honor an Anniversary, Birthday, Wedding, Graduation, Farewell, New Home or Business, Memorial or Welcome.

Prior to lei-makiing, each fresh leaf must be split and softened by extreme heat or cold. The leaf halves are then hand twisted into two-ply "ropes", which can be braided into naturally beautiful, intricate leis, Everlasting rosettes are also hand-formed from the leaves. Natural ti leaf colors are green, wine and gold.

Ti leaf leis bring beauty and blessings to the wearer. Unlike floral leis, your lei can be worn again and again and, can even be preserved by freezing between wearings to be used and enjoyed for years to come. Ti leaf leis can also be dried to a beautiful leather-like texture, and accent a photo or adorn your wall. Detailed instructions for care, and the cultural history of ti are included with each lei ordered.

Ti leaf leis are a wonderful, perfectly Hawai'ian commemorative gift. Wear yours in good health and happinness. Aloha...
